1. So, after eight years, @stellduffy and @sjmbrawlings are gifting @FunPalaces to the community of makers they conjured into being just by offering an invitation, an idea, a possibility, and being there to help make it happen…/
2. There will be sadness, some shock, and a natural sense of loss (and this year has not be short of griefs), but I haven't the slightest doubt that this movement will take a deep breath, hitch up its braces, reconfigure and carry on…/
3. Because @FunPalaces was always a Creative Commons, a shared enterprise, owned by none, owned by all, in which everyone found their own way of playing and learning together out of the joyful particularities of people, place and resources…/
4. As @stellduffy says 'Fun Palaces […] proved that handing over to community works. This is all I know how to do; help people believe they can do it', which is one of the truest lessons of community art…/
5. So thank you makers, so various, brave and generous, thank you all the people who gave a hand or shared their knowledge, thank you administrators and fundraisers, managers and social media people, thank you enablers and funders…/
6. And thank you Sarah-Jane and Stella for going at a good time, and living up to your belief that everyone can be an artist, a scientist, or run fun palaces, and giving this idea an extraordinary energy and momentum …/
7. One day people will write books about Fun Palaces, and this will be the end of the first chapter. Then there will be 650 pages after it, and 200 pages of acknowledgements. Long Live @FunPalaces

. (Doesn't END)
