1)After calling Towa naive for saying that she cannot trouble the Higurashi family any longer she says something like that. It is not specifically directed to Towa, but rather this is her current mindset, and even her unconcious self projection.
2)We shall connect the symbolism a Butterfly holds, to Setsuna's psyche.
But first a generic summary of what a butterfly symbolizes. A never-ending cycle of life, rebirth, eternity and transformation.

The summoning of the butterfly: Occurs when one is unable to adjust to a loss, or a drastic change in their life, thus being unable to reach "transformation".
How is this connected to Setsuna? It is connected through a past trauma of hers, way back in the forest fire.

My interpretion might be extreme, but i think Setsuna lost her life a little after saving Towa. Unable to adjust comes from the fact that she is very young, and possibly having vivid images of how it happened. Also, her support was "gone", her sister.
The Butterfly finding Setsuna: This step has to do with the effects a butterfly has on someone, such as losing touch of one's self, or one's feeling of happiness, causing them constant worry about the present.
This step is Setsuna's entire psyche/characterization right now in the series. She is a person just living in the "moment", being completely detached from herself, and actually being wary of finding the Butterfly, because that will cause the "disruption" of her current life.
The last step is One Finding the Butterfly. The series' set goal is exactly that "Finding the Dream Butterfly".
Symbolicly, that means one's life starting anew, transitioning from a state of ignorance to a state of concious awareness.

3)RIN'S ULTIMATE SACRIFICE
I have directly connected Rin's state to Setsuna's circumstances. Rin decided to enter that state on her own accord regardless of how the Butterfly appeared.+

By that i mean: Either Rin summoned it, or asked for assistance to summon it, or the butterfly manifested because of Setsuna (aka, the butterfly being Setsuna's conciousness)
With Rin being in an "endless" sleep, it assures that Setsuna is unable to sleep (and in extension dream), and with all her memories transferref to Rin, meaning her being unable to relive her trauma which has unabled her to "adjust".
It is also important to add that Rin exists in a domain that there is no concept of "time". This could possibly mean that her existence is "erased" from the TL, which could explain why seemingly everyone hasn't mentioned her. They have no recollection of her.
Important note: If by any chance Rin has taken such course of action, then this automatically establishes a strong character development for her. A woman/mother who would sacrifice absolutely everything for the sake of her family. Although dramatic, i would love to see it!
4) RIN'S ULTIMATE WISH
a. The reunion of her children
b. Towa assisting Setsuna spiritually and mentally in order for Setsuna to prepare herself for the moment her memories will return.

c. By the time they actually find the Butterfly, Setsuna will be ready to take her memories back due to the fact that she will slowly be receiving a portion of her memories back (she already has flashbacks), thus "adjusting" to the change that happened in her life+
+with the help of her biggest support, her own sister.
The moment she becomes conciously aware, a new life for her and Rin who will wake up, will begin anew, leading to her ultimate transformation!
