1/ Happy to share our latest kidney organoid MS #OpenAccess in @CellReports

We combined iPSC-derived progenitors to generate human organoids with collecting duct, including both principal cells and intercalated cells @Kohei_Uchimura @HaojiaWu

2/ We show that aldosterone and vasopressin are required for maturation of collecting duct cell types – we hypothesize this intervention might improve differentiation across protocols
3/ We also found urothelial cells (though no lumen) suggesting the possibility of developing protocols that generate a collecting system and ureter @MysorekarLab
4/ And that resulting organoids have improved maturity by scRNA-seq & EM
5/ The organoids also respond to tubular injury appropriately
6/ And manipulating Notch signaling alters the ratio of principal cells to intercalated cells – recalling beautiful mouse data showing same from @KSusztak
7/7 Glad/relieved to have this MS finally out - The #COVID19 #vaccine was developed, tested and deployed faster than our peer review 😆
