Here's a long thread triggered by this administration's decision to cancel the scheduled Winter Session of Parliament. I decided to check what some of the other members of the G-20 had done.
The Japanese Diet (parliament) was in session until December 5. http://www.shugiin.go.jp/internet/index.nsf/html/index_e.htm
The Korean National Assembly had its last plenary session for the year on December 1; however, parliamentary committees continue to have scheduled meetings until December 23. https://korea.assembly.go.kr:447/
The US House and Senate have been in session until the beginning of this week. https://www.majorityleader.gov/calendar

Clearly, India appears to be an outlier in even the G-20. Everyone else has been keeping their parliaments open; the pandemic demands MORE, not less, parliament time.
