Despite the fact that she is a seasoned journalist she continues to use passive language when discussing harms against Native Americans. Just read this passage below. It’s almost like no one was responsible for land theft and genocide. 🙄
Apparently Lincoln’s administration supported policies that led to Native Americans losing their land. (As if land were something that one could misplace or something.)
Don’t know what to make of the term “bloody response”. Is she saying the Native Americans responded to the theft of their land by bleeding? Or is she saying they responded by making others bleed?

Is this considered good journalism?
Going back to the text... it says “delegated”. He delegated the “sometimes bloody response.”

O.K. So now I’m thinking his administration (not him exactly) oversaw the “response” (aka: killing, maiming, scalping, raping?) ... but he was not responsible because he “delegated”.
Notice how she has no trouble identifying the killer of Lincoln’s grandfather’s... a *gasp* Native American!

I mean, this whole controversy is now all starting to sound like self-defense.
