Araragi's tendency to stay alone is an aspect of him that I relate to heavily. He tends to be alone for no particular reason caused by a tragedy in the past like many characters of that kind do, he tends to be alone to protect his sense of justice because he doesn't abide by
society's way of practicing their righteous beliefs. He detests how sociaty goes about it by majority voting to assess a judgement, therefore he'd rather stay alone to avoid its influence. He doesn't believe he has anyone to return to, or any place to come to where his
beliefe would be understood. He's genuinely convinced that he's failed & betrayed humanity upon reviving Kiss-shot, & sees that as a sin, a guilt he can only carry if he can practice his righteous beliefs. In that sense, if Araragi doesn't abide by his beliefs, he's going to
be consumed by his depressing thoughts. He stays alone because it's his firm belief that he doesn't deserve any kind of company, that his existence in & of itself is a sin that he must carry alone & no one should help him because he doesn't deserve that help.
I just really love Araragi's character & there's so much to talk about when it comes to his characterization such as the way he berates himself over the smallest mistakes, constant feeling of unfulfilment because of his fear of failure, & how considers every mission of his a
failure if he wasn't able to save everyone & blames himself for it, and how they all tie back to his roots in Kizu
