As good scientists/modellers, they made their code available (that in itself deserves recognition
). Their repository mentioned they used an #rstats package called Odin, by @rgfitzjohn, which turns R ODE models into C, for faster computation https://github.com/mrc-ide/odin 2/n

I had a go at it today: in a couple of hours it was up and running for my model, and now my MCMC is 50x faster!!!
So a massive thank you to those mentioned for your reproducible, open-sciences practices and for this awesome package. You made a PhD student really happy
