A friend of mine, a college prof. learns from sources that his mentor, a university prof., has been offered a powerful admin position by BJP.

The prof's dad is a liberal intellectual. The prof is a hardcore "liberal," but his field is technical so he has no public trail.

My friend calls him up to ask: "Hypothetically, if BJP were to offer you xyz position, will you take it?"

"Yes, of course," pat came the answer. "One can always work for our cause from the inside."
