For decades, we've been bombarded with the lie that Democrats are "weak" and Republicans are "strong."

What voters are seeing now is tough-as-hell Democrats standing up to bullies, staring down domestic terrorists, fighting for the rule of law vs. Republicans whining and crying.
The 1980 election cemented the "Democrat weakness" lie. Carter is an actual tough guy. Naval Academy, XO on attack subs at the height of the Cold War, served all over the world. Yes, he failed to end the Iran hostage crisis, and that got him trounced by fake tough guy Reagan.
Similar thing happened in 2016. Hillary was actually the tough candidate, forged as First Lady and Senator, steeled by 2008, hardened into beskar as Secretary of State, but thanks to media misogyny and leftist betrayal, she lost to the fake tough guy, flimsy TV character Trump.
Point is, the narrative of the last 50 years needs to be over, and Democrats are the ones who need to get past our own PTSD and own our toughness, our patriotism, our values, our strength, because it's real, and it's spectacular.
