Had someone like an old tweet, always nice I guess to know that the account chatting shit got removed, but it's also feeling pretty hollow.

Anti trans folks never cared about conversion therapy and still don't (while it's being promoted actively in a way I haven't seen in years)
Coming rapidly to the conclusion that the right thing to do about hate group research is just to publish it with extremely good SEO so that when non partisan bodies Google key players they find out what's up.
The UK doesn't really have anything like the US SPLC/etc writing up hate groups outside of left wing groups that have massive blind spots re the "GC". You can Google present and former BNP/NF members but stuff threatening LGBT people and women's rights doesn't get any attention.
EA, CC, TiS, similar groups with numerous far right ties and clear history working to undermine reproductive justice, push conversion therapy, attack RSE in schools, often involvement in antisemitic shit (some dressed up in philosemitism, but some not) get ignored by the left.
Another thought is that the fast high energy response that we are doing enables rapid iteration of these groups towards more effective strategies - rather than slowing down and taking more strategic response we are helping them evolve and become more effective.
Oh another thing to add to this is at the speed that we share info here, fact checking frequently goes awry (I've fallen short of this, I've seen others falling short of this). We don't do a bad job, but some of those errors compound and become conspiracy theory memes.
The problem with conspiracy theory memes circulating among our own community however is that these have a habit of gaining momentum, make large numbers of people wrong with costs attached, and require significant puncturing efforts to fix.
If you look at how paranoia blossomed around antisemitism questions re the Labour party from people playing fast and loose with responses to it it feels like a bit of a cautionary tale in the need to try and slow some things down altogether.
