VD Savarkar wrote his OWN biography & called HIMSELF "Veer" (brave)! He actually APOLOGIZED for fighting against British! He begged to be allowed to serve British interests.

After release, he NEVER participated in anything against the British, praised & helped them..

Taking control of the narrative while patriotic Indians were busy fighting for their lives/freedoms is how Savarkar glorified himself as "Veer/brave hero". Incarceration scared him so much, he tried to escape unsuccessfully! British DID NOT consider him a political prisoner!

He was a servant of the British Empire TILL Independence. AFTER Independence, Savarkar was the FIRST person to propose "Two Nation Theory" in 1937 at a Hindu Mahasabha convention. So, Hindutva hate brigade should call him the OG "Tukde Tukde Gang"! But they won't!

KS Thackeray wrote about how Savarkar twisted historical facts to promote Brahminism by lying & misquoting castes of ppl who fought for patriotic causes. Hindu elitism/Brahminism is the basis of the Hindutva of Savarkar (superiority of Brahmin Hindus over everyone else)!

In accordance with his allegiance to the British, Savarkar never openly targeted Christians (to protect colonial interests) - attacked Muslims instead. He believed rape of Muslim women was an effective way to eliminate Islam (in his book, Six Glorious Epochs of Indian History).

Savarkar ate beef. He DIDN'T believe in Sanatan Dharma. He believed in Manusmriti as the "Constitution for Hindus''. He believed in male superiority & Brahmin supremacy. While he disgracefully begged for mercy from the British, he advocated extreme cruelty towards ALL Non-Hindus.

Involved in a failed assassination plot against prominent Muslim leader (believed to be Maulana Azad), implicated in assassination of M Gandhi - as a 12 yr old, he vandalized mosques to take "revenge against Muslims" (J Sharma, Hindutva: Exploring the Idea of Hindu Nationalism)

He OPPOSED Quit India Movement; called M Gandhi a "hypocrite". He didn't help Indian National Congress in any of their efforts against the British, but rather criticized/hindered them. He wrote his OWN biography under the pen name 'Chitragupta'. He glorified HIMSELF in his book!

His books scream good Hindu vs evil Muslim Islamophobic tropes. He advocated rape, genocide of Muslims, forced conversion to Hinduism, destruction of Non-Hindu religious buildings. Hindutva proposed by him is shameful, heinous & cruelly violent towards anyone who's not Hindu.

Hindutva isn't an original or solely religious ideology. It's a copy of Nazism & a political tool to legitimize atrocities against minorities. It seeks to manipulate religion as a means to consolidate power. It's festers hate & weaponizes it to propagate inhuman acts & violence.

Any text talking about Hindutva is a landmine for horrifyingly maniacal, undemocratic, inhuman & frightfully barbaric ideologies. This is just the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to the problematic Savarkar & his Hindutva.
