5 Hindu traditions which are backed by science.

(THREAD)

no, following traditions does not make you “orthodox” and “conservative”
1. ringing bells before entering a temple are proven to increase concentration and focus. the sound made by the bell connect the left and right hemispheres of our brain, making us more aware and conscious. the echo of the ring lasts for 7 secs, which cleanses the 7 chakras.
2. putting a tilak/teeka on the forehead prevents loss of energy from body. the spot between eyebrows is said to be a major nerve point in the body. applying pressure here stimulates adhya-chakra which ensures blood supply to the facial muscles. this also controls concentration.
3. traditional piercings are done in specifics points in the body which are said to stimulate various organs and nerves. ear piercings control speech, intellect and decision-making. nose piercings (in women) stimulate reproductive organs and rectify menstruation-related issues.
4. when we sleep with our head facing the north, the human body’s magnetic field becomes asymmetrical with the earth’s in-built magnetic field. this causes sleeping troubles, headaches and even cardio-pulmonary problems as the heart needs to work more to overcome the asymmetry.
5.when you touch the feet of elders, their mind emits positive energies which are given out through their hands and feet and are recieved by our hands and we then touch our foreheads. circuit of energy flow becomes complete which allows a connection to be made btw the two minds.
these are just 5 practices out of a plethora which have scientific and logical value behind them. i’vepersonally experienced each one of them and can vouch for them. our scriptures are not figments of imagination. our traditions do not lie. be proud of your religion. respect it.
