It's really failed to show Reiners character in the way manga readers know. Also no Pieck ass, which would have been very funny, after a great 1st episode episode 2 was also good but wasn't done justice. This surprises me cause they said that they would like to stick as closely-

Theme for the rest of the season. MAPPA, Just follow Isayama's Manga with good animation and you will get a 12/10 Anime, that's how good this arc is. This episode gets a 6/10 for the lack of justice Reiners character is Given, considering the whole episode was about him.
