Let's play a fun round of "how senior do you think this Narrative Design role is"! Associate (entry level), Mid, Senior, Principal, or Director?
I'll count likes as guesses of "director" since I ran out of poll options
Congrats to those of you who got it right (who probably spend a lot of time staring at requirements like this for positions like this)

This job literally wants someone PREFERABLY with 5 years experience... and thinks that is an associate, entry level role.
Maybe this company levels their titles differently. Maybe associates start at higher salary band than other companies. But... as written, this is a role that interfaces with multiple other teams, is described as leading efforts and MANAGING OTHERS, leveled as "entry level."
This is absurd both for those who have this experience (to be valued only as an entry level individual), and impossible for those who actually are associate level folks, looking for opportunities to build their body of work.
And we have the audacity to wonder why our new talent pipelines feel so constricted.

Anyway, completely unrelated, episodes of the narrative design podcast will return next year, as will streams with portfolio and resume reviews and feedback, ha ha ha ha ahhhhhhh
Also considering running a free writing workshop at some point, as a little exercise to help folks stretch their writing muscles and maybe have some framework to craft some pieces that could show their chops in a portfolio or as a sample. Lemme know if y'all would be interested!
Anyway, happy Monday evening and good night, don't mind me silently screaming into the aether until sleep consumes me
