These people are talking about how abolishing the Electoral College would disenfranchise smaller states.

2000: 543,895 more people voted for Gore. Because of the electoral college, 537 votes in Florida made George Bush the winner. 543,358 voters were disenfranchised in the US.
2016: 2,868,686 more people voted for Hillary Clinton in the US. Because of the electoral college, 77,744 voters in PA, MI, WI made Trump the winner. 2,790,942 voters in the US were disenfranchised.
2020: They’re not done counting the votes yet. With what’s counted so far, 7,059,782 more people voted for Joe Biden in the US. How pathetic is it that because of the electoral college we’re at 306 to 232 like 2016 & we watched them fight over 267,957 votes in PA, MI, WI, GA.
Just imagine if those 267,957 votes in PA, MI, WI, GA would have gone the other way. At least 6,791,825 voters in the US would have been disenfranchised.

So miss me with the not disenfranchising smaller states bullshit. Land shouldn’t matter more than people.
