In the United States, a mass shooting occurs nearly once per day. Our national reactions have become as habitual as they are horrific, but we must NEVER allow these nightmares to feel commonplace. This is a status quo we must constantly and vigorously reject. (3/4)
My heart today is with the families of Newtown, and with all Americans who have had their lives forever altered by gun violence. We have an obligation to our children, and to the memories of those we've lost, to pursue strong, rapid, and lasting solutions to this crisis. (4/4)
