Saying this embarrassingly late but I am trying to really PROPERLY start ACTUALLY writing my diss - I have bits and pieces scattered across publication drafts and grant apps, but I am starting to try to write REAL CHAPTERS. What tips would you give your past self at this point?
Things which which I find myself struggling:
- knowing where to start
- feeling like I need to read more and take proper notes but also feeling like I'll use that to avoid writing
- feeling scared to commit to a defined structure
- feeling impatient bc I don't have my data yet

- feeling mad at myself for not getting zotero and my pdfs in order 2 years ago (don't worry it's on my winter break to-do list)
- feeling like I am too good at finding other tasks to do and deciding they are more important than my diss

Also you can definitely shame me for being a noob, I'm definitely very behind schedule.
