New from me in today's American Interregnum: Why Trump's refusal to concede might ultimately be a self-own. https://americaninterregnum.substack.com/p/trumps-greatest-self-own
Some key points:
-MAGA is not taking the SCOTUS decision well. They're disillusioned.
-Some will continue to believe, some will organize protests and make violent threats. Most have just lost all faith in American Democracy.

-Having your entire base disillusioned is terrible if you've got a runoff election with two crucial Senate seats in less than a month.
-How do you convince a completely demoralized base to come out and vote?

But it's worse still for Trump. Today should have been a huge victory for him. The vaccine should be an opportunity for him to burnish his legacy. But he can't because he's too busy whining about an election he lost.
Trump’s supporters aren’t even giving him credit for the vaccine. Most of MAGA still believes that the pandemic is a hoax, sees it through a political lens, and views the vaccine as a deep state plot rather than a triumph for the President.
Meanwhile tonight Biden will address the nation now that he's officially the President-elect. Just as Trump’s chance to cement his legacy is dying, President-elect Biden’s is being born.
