While CBSTVstudios have a relationship corporately with CW and CBS, both outlets had to bid against each other to get #Walker on their schedules.

CW seemed an unlikely pick until you realize #Walker is NOT a copaganda procedural. It wouldn't fit CBS's conservative line up.
It’s a family drama with messaging….hopefully finding a soapy but socially aware audience with ALL OF US.

The CW had the best rating with GLAAD for diverse rep, but past rep was sometimes not deeply authentic.

CW HAS PLEDGED TO WORK ON THIS with shows like #Walker.
This is not a "legacy" show, but rather "next gen"...upgraded.

They are starting out with a multi-generational cast. While the emphasis promises to be on the thirty-somethings, there are strong actors both younger & older. And while Jared has his name on the title, he’s the lead of an ensemble power house. #WalkerIsComing #Walker

Besides CW hosting #Walker for CBSstudios, they are also both producing & hosting KungFu, a show with which Bobo Berens is affiliated.
And their parent company, WB, is where Jensen &Danneel Ackles have a development deal with Chaos.
CW has familiar faces...but faces we know CARE

Some of the past issues CW had that people may cite are from OTHER individual showrunners & production companies.
Walker has a woman show runner, Anna Fricke, and Rideback as a company.
