Actually, I'll finish this off now so that I don't forget.

How do you beat The Food Optimizer?

The only way I can see significant fractions of the Western World sustainably losing weight is we work out how to remove people from the influence of food companies. https://twitter.com/RokoMijicUK/status/1338576843771949056
Collectively the most effective way to do this would be a payment card that worked like VISA except it refused to deal with any vendor that sold addictive food, combined with some (likely online) vendors that sell only non-addictive, plain food.
On a personal level you might be able to make this work by setting up recurring food purchases for specific, well-thought-out foods from online vendors, and then never go to a food shop or restaurant.
If you work from home or if your workplace doesn't have snacks and your food arrives automatically from the internet, you may be able to isolate yourself from the Food Optimizer enough that you can beat the crowd.
Once I am down to a BMI of 29 maybe (my target - I'm strong so that's pretty healthy for me), I'm going to try this.

"The Internet Diet"
The best way to make it work might be that you start an internet food business where the customer takes out a loan for 10 years' worth of food and pays if off monthly at 0 interest.

The Internet Food company sends uninteresting but highly convenient food, packed lunches, etc.
