A trump appointed judge just destroyed Donald Trump in Wisconsin. If you want a better understanding of these cases, read this, retweet this. Trump called no witnesses and alleged no fraud. Trump seeks to set aside the results, declare the election a failure and appoint electors.
The case: Trump did not like procedures set forth by the Wisconsin Election Commission, such as: drop boxes, addresses & mailing ballots without applications. They claimed the WEC did not have authority to issue these orders and various votes should be thrown out.
It should be noted that 36 other states enacted similar procedures or already had them established in previous elections. States such as North Carolina & Florida. States that Trump is not suing, states that he won.
You may recall many of these issues were challenged in court prior to the election. The rules were crystal clear by the election and the rules were followed. The Trump Team does not contest this, but they feel those rules were illegal because they werent made by the legislature.
However, the Judge made it clear, that the Wisconsin Election Commission was created by the Wisconsin legislature and works in conjunction with them and it's sole purpose is election administration. Procedures created by them are valid, as they were in 2016.
Judge: "Trump's complaints are not over the election itself, but election administration. The record shows Wisconsin's Presidential Electors are being determined in the very manner directed by the Legislature. Plaintiff has not and cannot show a violation."
"This is an extraordinary case. Disagreements over administration would risk turning every Presidential election into a federal court lawsuit. When plaintiff's claims are cleared of rhetoric, they consist little more than ordinary disputes over statutory construction."
