More than 25,000 doses of #COVID19 vaccine doses are coming next week to help protect those who put themselves at risk caring for our most vulnerable.
This is in addition to the 3,900 @PfizerCA doses that we will start distributing this week. 1/6 #ableg #abhealth

When these 25,000+ vaccines arrive, we will offer them to Respiratory Therapists, ICU physicians and staff, long-term care workers and others across the province.
This is a big step forward in our fight against #COVID19AB. 2/6 https://www.alberta.ca/release.cfm?xID=75900DA11262C-C295-9A82-8CB4F6A119DB15BE

Health care workers and staff are exhausted, and I hope seeing more vaccines on the way will show there’s an end in sight.
@GoAHealth, @AHS_media and the Vaccine Task Force have been hard at work preparing to get these vaccines into the arms of the workers who need them. 3/6

In addition, we expect to see the @moderna_tx vaccine to arrive in Alberta soon.
This vaccine has not yet received Health Canada approval. Once approved, they can be transported, making it easier to immunize long-term care residents and others at risk. 4/6

This is just the start.
We expect to continue receiving more vaccine doses, which will go towards Albertans targeted in Phase 1: LTC and DSL residents and staff, seniors age 75+, on-reserve First Nations individuals over age 65, and critical health-care workers. 5/6
