The point of attacking Pornhub, of making the story about them and getting the card companies to stop processing payments to them, is to starve the brand name of porn out of business, and then once you have that precedent you can do the same to anyone.
Funny thing is, in the end, assuming VISA and MC resume payments to Pornhub's parent company, this move might actually end up being a net positive for sex workers who use Pornhub as a platform... since now they're not competing for views against a bunch of pirated content.
