1) I've had multiple blogs in different niches.
I am personally convinced: Selecting a good niche is the ultimate blogging hack.
If it's easy to rank, you'll get traffic fast. I've had blogs generating 1'000 visitors after only their first month.
It's more fun!

2) Having talked with many bloggers, the number one reason why people quit or burn out is because they can't generate traffic.
Knowing that thousands of people read your blog is very assuring.
At least when you're a beginner and starting out.

3) Okay so recently I was on YouTube looking for music to play in the background.
Then in the suggested videos there was this: "Animal Flow Beginner Class"

4) I did a quick Google search, which said:

5) I'm not gonna lie... it sounded kinda lame (no hate).
Don't get me wrong, exercise is important and there are many very difficult bodyweight exercises.
But when I read "innovative" and a funny name like "Animal Flow"... my alarm bells go off

6) But the video had almost 20'000 views after only 1 month on YouTube.
So curiosity got the better of me. And I clicked!

7) So I started watching this at 2x speed and clicking through to understand what this was all about.
And it's exactly as I imagined: Bodyweight exercises with animal names.
But how come I've never heard of this before?
So I had to check out Google trends...

8) Looking at Google trends, it seems that this wasn't new at all.
The popularity for the keyword "animal flow" was always between 25 and 100 throughout the year.
But steadily over the last 5 years.
So surely, there must be blogs on it?
Let's check...

9) Checking the first page of Google, two things stood out:
- Instagram account was ranking
- Facebook page was ranking

10) So I reached out to SEO expert Nick @NineFiveFree in our City of Gold group chat.
Nick is an experienced online marketer with profound SEO knowledge.
Not only that, his brother runs an SEO agency.
Seems like SEO runs in their family's blood

11) Lucky for me, Nick is in the City of Gold group chat.

I asked Nick if he comes to the same conclusions as I do about the "animal flow" and "movement training" niche.
So he checked it on SEMrush and he confirmed...

12) The pages currently ranking were low DA (domain authority) sites.
And they had very few backlinks, too.
I got excited!

13) So the next question was how much potential is in this niche.
First, I checked the related videos on YouTube.
The top listed one was titled "movement training" and had almost 100k views after only 1 month on YouTube!
And I remembered...

14) I remembered that Animal Flow was also labelled as "movement training".
So it's part of the same category, with overlapping audiences.
Another thing I noticed was that "animal flow yoga" was a related keyword on Google.
This is great news!
Why?

15) That means this blog could expand into highly related niches:
- Movement training
- Yoga
- Bodyweight exercises
(- Possibly even calisthenics)
Why does this matter?
Because: Long-tail keywords...

16) At first, this blog would target everything surrounding "animal flow":
- Training
- Workouts
- Routines
- Beginner
- Advanced
- Step-by-step
You get the idea...
But you will add secondary keywords for related niches into your blog posts.

17) As you start ranking, you'll expand your blog by writing about all these other related niches.
