I have so many thoughts on this statement I’m not even sure where to begin. So how about the facts: they knew it wasn’t ready, but they knew they had record pre-orders. They withheld console copies from reviewers & restricted the gameplay they could post. 1/ https://twitter.com/cyberpunkgame/status/1338390123373801472
Their partner @Xbox also knew it wasn’t ready, and allowed them to show gameplay falsely representing the gameplay experience consumers would have upon launch day. (both platforms certified the code with what I imagine to be a lengthy list of waivers) 2/
I know day one patches are the norm but the state of the code was unacceptable. I’m supremely disappointed in what I’ve seen from #Cyberpunk2077 so far. I’m beyond bummed out that I’m saying that. I was so excited for this game but this launch was A MESS. 3/
Better to have acknowledged the terrible restrictions the pandemic caused with production and have a proper delay (like Halo) than rush release willfully knowing your product is broken. 4/
I, like all consumers, want to have the best experience possible. That is not what you are getting on any platform right now. 😔 (for the record: CDPR gave me a PS4 copy, and I bought the game on Stadia and on Xbox.) 5/
I hope @CDPROJEKTRED is going to find a way to make this right for consumers for choose to stick by them and wait for the patches to come. #Cyberpunk2077
I’m so glad some players are experiencing Night City relatively bug free, but every player who bought the game deserves that experience. Someday I hope to revisit it, but certainly not in a state I care to do so right now. 🙁 #Cyberpunk2077 7/
