There once was a race of children. Beautiful. But an evil power took them and laid dark spells upon them. They were utter changed. They became a race of monsters and fell asleep. They could not bear their own reflection, so hideous were they to themselves.

They hid away from the light in their shame of what they had become, afraid to face the truth of themselves. That was the curse because only by facing the truth of themselves in the magic mirror, could those dark spells be broken.
