Academics who write for Quillette should ask themselves whether they would support an academic journal whose editorial staff led campaigns of vilification against researchers for sharing the insights of their research. Because they currently support a faux-academic one that does.

And the more this happens, the harder it becomes not to see their contributions to it, and their positions as academics, in that light. Transposing academic differences into culture-war campaigns, death threats and all, is not going to lead anywhere good.
