You literally have to be dumb to think that barring the rich farmers, which is a small % of farming community, hand to mouth farmers who barely make ends meet with regard to their food & expenditure requirements will not be outsmarted by corporations & their legal teams.
Let me drive the point of contract being empty papers home even for educated people by taking the example of medical hiring (talking specifically of doctors) by corporate Healthcare in India.

One year later the hospital broke the contract. When the surgeon referred to the job contract the answer was - Sure, Go ahead! Go to the court, this a contract case, it will be years before this will get resolved, we have a legal team for this, do you have the resources?
I know doctors who have been fired irrespective of contracts or made to sign legal waivers while reducing their salaries throughout lockdown & have not seen this translate into a single case.

I have done surveys of doctors & many professionals in non medical industry where these well educated & qualified people donot know the difference between "Contract of service" & "Contract for service"& people expect farmers to win against corporations in such contracts!!
Do these people know the average time it takes for a civil contract legal suit to be disposed off in this country from its inception till judgement?!?
But reporters & party influencers will repeat the rubbish that IT cell will prepare, repeat it so many times that it sounds true.

And the janta of this country which sits in its cozy comfortable homes & offices & is limited to frigging forming its opinions based on biased TV panel discussions & half baked social media posts believe they know everything there is to know about legalities of farm laws.
Take any big corporate hospital chain, they earn 50 times of what they pay a doctor as a salary & still donot extend even basic healthcare facilities like free annual or biannual investigations or insurance benefits & paid sick leaves or compensation to them...+
But you think our kisan will manage to outsmart the big deep pocket corporations.
If you think this narrative which is being given to you by govt or its sympathetics is farmer friendly you really are being naive or blind.

And you know what the really sad bit is that the gullible farmer isn't even aware of this harsh reality about the legal nitty gritty to even think of this as a potential harm to agriculture & their livelihood.

The dear educated Social Media University savvy urban elite (irrespective of middle class or rich) don't realize that food production, food pricing, food security can destroy countries faster than any war or illness, so these farm bills are a bigger mess than their petty concerns
