UFHealth Jacksonville is one of the "Pfizer Five" in Florida that today will receive 20,000 doses the COVID-19 vaccine.

Health officials expect to administer the vaccine for free to front-line healthcare workers beginning this week.
UF Health strongly encouraging employees get vaccinated, but not mandating it.

Timeline for bringing vaccine to university campus is still being decided.

UF Health anticipates it "will begin to receiving additional shipments of the vaccine once every week or two weeks"
another note: in email, UF Health says it will be "serving Floridians by eventually helping to cascade the vaccine to our local communities and around the state"
