i hate to do this but let me answer this one for uneducated ignorants on twitter:

"Why Justin Bieber has so many monthly listeners yet he's are not the most streamed artist in the world now?"

1. He has classics which go viral every now and then. "Baby", "One Time", "That Should Be Me", "Eenie Meenie" and many more went/are going viral on TikTok.

2. He has classics for special occasions like his christmas EP and one of the biggest christmas song ("Mistletoe") which generates massive amount of new listeners specially this time of the year.

3. He is one of the very few artists with songs from half a decade ago which still racks up +500K streams per day.

For example: 2015/16 releases like "Love Yourself", "Let Me Love You", "Sorry" among few others still gain ~450K and upto 550K streams every day.

4. Regardless of whether he release a new song or not, he still averages over 50 Million listeners on normal basis. Prior to last year's christmas he had around 50M listeners which jumped over 60M as christmas went nearby.

Listeners doesn't completely revolve around playlisting exposure otherwise artists like Drake, Dua Lipa for now would have already broken the 70M record but they didnt cause they don't have classics that can give them consistent listeners aswell as new ones.

so right in the first thread i kept "are" cause i was trying to make this a thread about jb and ariana both but i erased ariana skk but its the same for her aswell. she has many stable hits that still does wonder on spotify and she also has christmas classics like jb.

Sorry that your fav couldn't produce multiple memorable hits or classics in their decade long career for them to have consistent listeners. It must be depressing crying about a goddamn monthly listeners if you don't think highly of it.
