I don't know if I'll regret writing this, because it's not a judgement on anyone that does, but I personally really don't feel comfortable putting Dr in my Twitter name. Having said that, it is in my @ Also, a good friend pointed out once that a male colleague had been introduced
as 'Dr' and I'd been introduced as 'Niki'. Wasn't their fault! It was the name I'd given them! So on that occasion, I corrected it. But in general, unless I am specifically in a situation where people would address me as Mrs etc rather than Niki, (eg. at school) I don't emphasise
I'm not ashamed of being Dr. I'm proud. It's a big part of my life. But, on a personal level, I don't mention it that often. On the other hand, completely understand why people do, and especially understand why people are angry about the Dr Boden stuff
