If I was writing somewhere I would probably put it a list of top DC candidates for the Raiders in 2021, but I'm not so I will list some names that pique my interest right here on the TL.
Jon Heacock Iowa State DC runs some crazy stuff out there but he's innovative, smart and experienced
Mike Zimmer is still a head coach, I don't really even know how hot his seat is but based on how Guenther assembled the defense this would make a lot of sense
Marvin Lewis very well could (and probably should) get another chance at being a head coach in the NFL but If he doesn't he could be an excellent DC candidate
Teryl Austin is another potential candidate with DC experience and the Steelers have been incredible this year
Kris Richard may have the most star potential amongst any of the names mentioned. Not long ago he was considered a serious head coaching candidate and he has been holding out for a coordinator job
And of course, Wade Phillips is probably the best-case scenario for most Raider fans. At 73 does he even still want to coach? Does the personnel fit his system? I have concerns but Phillips has succeeded everywhere he has gone.
