(1/3) Our incumbent talks about #smallbusiness but what is he doing to help? The purpose of #stimulus payments is not to give hand-outs to people but to, you know, stimulate the economy (hence the name!). Money in the hands of the people gets spent, helping local businesses.

(2/3) Money in the hands of big corporations and the rich -- Calvert's preferred recipients -- has little to no impact on economic growth, and often slows it. I want to help both the people and the economy; the easiesy way is direct cash payments. #StimulusNow #UBI

(3/3) So far we have a single $1200 stimulus payment which was hardly a stimulus at all, given how many Americans were out of work. For many it went right to bills or debt, which doesn't stimulate anything. If we want a quick economic recovery, get Americans spending more NOW.
