mai is meg, yue is hercules, ozai or ukano is hades, ty lee and azula are pain and panic, the kyoshi warriors are the muses!! rather than just having one "phil" train yue, the whole gaang works to make her better, but it's mostly aang. yue's a canon demigod!! it works so well!
as we saw in the comics with (
) kei lo, mai is a good actor, so she can do meg's whole damsel in distress schtick well. yue still has canon hercules's confidence with finding her own path, but she's a little bit more reserved than he is. sokka helps her out of her shell!

katara teaches her to never back away from what she believes in, aang gives her a lot of spiritual guidance, toph and zuko help her with most of the physical training :')
