i don't even know how i'd draw this, but consider:
tusk carving is probably very physically taxing, mostly requires staying perfectly still while someone either chisels or takes a dremel to your face. probably has the potential to be SUPER intimate, because trust, proximity, care

anyway what i'm saying is F or Em have done this for L, if only to round them off and prevent overgrowth/curling into the face (thinking rodent teeth) and when they finish they look down and L is blissed out and drooling and in the perfect 'sub space'
L, dazed and slow and relaxed, totally focused on F/E's hands, completely overcome by gratitude and affection because he's just spent several hours staring at a person he loves, and these two people who do not have tusks are just very 
a good context for "drunk" confession? F is surprised when he stops focusing on L's tusks and sees his face again, and L just half-giggles and tells him that he's pretty or smart or just "i really love you, y'know?"
