These are the things that most bitcoiners won’t say to noobs but that I wish I’d heard early on.

tldr:
Be forever terrified . . . but confident.
Stay stay active and informed.

Be forever terrified!

Everytime you handle your bitcoin, imagine it has 100x the value it does because it will.

You’re not sending/storing 100 dollars worth, you’re sending/storing $10,000.

Plan ahead, act accordingly.
That means BE VERY CAREFUL!

MUCH more bitcoin lost to user error than to hacks and theft.

Practice with tiny amounts,
Quintuple check addresses.
Take your time.

Let the fees be the cost of learning, not your mistakes.

You can do this.
Any small aircraft pilot will tell you, “When a it starts to feel comfortable and routine, it’s time to step back. “
Fuck testnet, it’s for developers.

It won’t always act the real thing, and may give you a false sense of security.

Stick with live ammo.
Stay frosty.
You are essentially a criminal, in the eyes of govt. and banks.

They don’t want you to be in control of your money.

NEVER brag to your friends and family about your bitcoin.
It’s as dangerous to them as it is to you.

Guard your seed phrase smartly and with your life.
But you can’t store it like buried treasure.

The tech behind bitcoin changes, and should (hopefully) always be backwards compatible.

But hardware doesn’t always work that way, weaknesses emerge, machines break down.

Storing your bitcoin, means periodically paying attention.
If you can’t take the pressure, or are not comfortable enough to handle #bitcoin yourself - just leave it on the exchange until you you are.
It’s better to have exposure to the promise of bitcoin, than none at all.

Always keeping in mind that we think you’re a little bitch.
