for real i’m becoming increasingly alarmed by the ableism amongst leftists. so many of y’all are just as bad at using disabled people as political tools as the libs

this was true before covid but has only been exacerbated as the pandemic continues to devastate certain communities and leave others alone

how can y’all pretend to care about the liberation of oppressed and exploited people when you’re spreading harmful misinformation and ignoring how a deadly virus is affecting working class communities?

why won’t anyone talk about how utterly hopeless the covid situation seems to immunocompromised people who are poor?

it’s not about workers having to go to work. we have to do what we can. and it’s not JUST about the massive failure by the government. it really is a moral failure too.

people with conditions that put them at high-risk for covid complications have to deal with 1. keeping ourselves alive and 2. a constant stream of brazenly apathetic takes from leftists online and in our own communities.

OBVIOUSLY a lot of people have normal brains and are staying safe while helping others and should continue to do so! but so many think that it’s not their responsibility to do EVERYTHING they can to prevent the spread.

the bottom line is, a FUCK TON more (mostly poor) people are going to die and the only way to EVER reach a point where it is generally safe to be around other people is if covid is eradicated.

this absofuckinglutely will not happen in the US without some pretty extreme “authoritarian” measures. i’m sorry but it’s not. it’s only gonna get worse and become more dangerous to organize effectively.

i guess what i’m saying is, it’s hard to pay rent or organize your community if you’re dead. lets start there.

actually i’m not done, i see that people are talking about medicare for all and a vaccine and all that and while i feel there is a teensy bit of hope to be felt there, none of that can remotely be considered a solution since there’s just SO MANY people currently spreading covid

any of that is a long way away anyhow. what’s gonna happen very soon (kind of happening already tbh) as hospitals are becoming full is that people with high-risk conditions are simply not going to be treated.

it’s straight-up eugenics, but it’s gonna become more normalized until the popular discourse is that it’s not worth it to treat or vaccinate these people.

i hope i’m not one of them but i really don’t see this going any other way based on the current situation. leftists will not fight it because the government isn’t gonna pay us to stay home, and i guess it’s too complicated to fight for both things?

but yeah i know no one pays attention to my tweets or gives a shit about disabled and chronically ill people so i’ll stop now lol
