Not surprised to see Iain Duncan Smith involved

Am surprised given his willingness to profit in Chinese market as a director of a UK chemical company from 2009-2010 https://twitter.com/ipacglobal/status/1337991464517849088
IDS was a company director for a chemical company called Byotrol in 2009-2010

He resigned shortly after Cameron brought him back from his 2003-10 exile in the backbench wilderness to be Sec. for Work and Pensions 2010-16
But IDS continued to own shares in excess of £70k in the company until Jan 2018 when mention of them disappears from the Register of Interests (investments over £70k must be disclosed - so we don’t know true level of investment)

Byotrol PLC is a company specialising in hygiene products - a good market to be in these days.

They make sanitizers, cleaning products, and pet grooming products

In Asia under CarexPro brand - often with the promo line that they’re used by @NHSuk
Byotrol PLC entered into an agreement with a “distributor” in China called Sunon according to its 2017 results.

Growth in their petcare products attributable almost entirely to Asian markets - and 2500 stores of Sunon
Since late 2017, CarexPro/Byotrol products are marketed on e-commerce giant http://JD.com  with
The company named as the Asia distributor in Byotrol’s 2017 report is Sunon, known as 晟诺 in China.

IDS had a relationship with, and continued to be a shareholder of, a company supplying the NHS while he was a Cabinet member 2010-2016

He since either sold (no mention of this in disclosures) or moved his investment to a blind trust which doesn’t require disclosure.
So it’s a bit rich of him to be involved in doxxing alleged CCP members and making accusations that they’ve infiltrated every corner of British industry when he’s been profiting from licensing agreements and alliances with Chinese companies for at least a decade.
So bravo, #IainDuncanSmith. A win for British exports and a nice little earner to boot!

Let’s hope CarexPro and Sunon haven’t aren’t selling their UK IP to other sectors. Such as the vocational education sector, for example.

That wouldn’t be a good at all
