PSA:
When someone confides in you their psychiatric diagnosis ie: Clinical Depression, PTSD, Anxiety Disorder, Schizophrenia etal; it is NOT an invitation for you to try to FIX them. You CANNOT fix them. It just means they trust you & are praying mightily you will simply accept
them for who they are, struggles included. If you cannot do that, BE HONEST. It's better to know our friend's limitations upfront than find out down the road they silently judged or resented being included in our intimate realities.
It's ok. Not everyone can handle the being on
the periphery of genius & madness but the only thing worse than struggling with a personal mental paradox a scant few will ever understand is feeling abandoned by those who you believed loved you not in spite of but along with the inexplicable intricacies which make you up.
