Me watching the @jimmy_dore / @AOC mess....
@professordarwin was just talking about the drama loop and how it only helps the opposition.

Should we try to push establishment people to more progressive positions? Absolutely.
Would a M4A vote be cool to see rep's positions? Also yes.
Is it worth expending post-election political capital to see? Depends on whether it can really win.
Can it win? Depends on Georgia.

With the uncertainty, would that political capital be better used elsewhere? Depends on how you look at it. (This is the actual point of contention. Nobody believes AOC suddenly doesn't want M4A.)
Doing the work Beau: "Pick battles big enough to matter and small enough to win"
Commentator Beau: "In the US everybody needs healthcare now."
There isn't a fundamental disagreement on the destination. Just how to get there.

As a commentator, it's really easy to be an ideological purist and see things in black and white. When I leave the shop and try to get stuff done, there's a whole world of gray out there.
That gray world is why I don't trash people's strategies unless they're actually harmful.

The opposition is lighting themselves up from every angle right now and we're all laughing at the red on red fire because of how harmful it is to their effectiveness.
