THREAD on Bosch:
‘He is certainly running the game like a mature flyhalf should do. He is looking more and more like an international flyhalf and hopefully, he can continue that performance’ - Sean Everitt after beating the Bulls.

Bosch literally kicked the Sharks to victory.
His five kicks between the 70th and 75th minute were all clutch and secured the win for @TheSharksZA.
The first of those five came after Morne Steyn missed a drop goal attempt.
Bosch hangs the 22 drop out well so the Sharks get the ball back.

He gets the ball near halfway and notices there are no options out wide and expertly drops his kick into the Bulls 22 between the two players scampering back.
Note it almost sits up for Penxe too.

The Bulls throw the lineout right to the Sharks and after a poor attacking sequence the Sharks are back tracking.
Again, Bosch drops back and pops a kick in perfectly into the 22.

Again the Bulls lineout gifts the ball to the Sharks and after going wide, Bosch spots the space on the opposite side of the pitch and an excellent kick gives Penxe the score.
This is sensational from any angle.
Pushed to take the conversion quickly after it fell off the tee he nailed the fifth kick in this sequence to add the two. Not a great strike but under pressure he nailed it.
Everitt noted an improvement in his defence and backfield play recently and I tend to agree with his tackle success increasing from 45% to 82% in Super Rugby Unlocked (don’t have Currie Cup stats).
He doesn’t make many tackles but it is a big improvement that.

I don’t think it is controversial at all to include him the Springbok conversation.
You want a flyhalf who steps up when it matters and Bosch has done this time and time again for the Sharks, particularly this year.

His speed and vision mean he could be a very good option at fullback too, an option we may need with Gelant injured and Le Roux starting competitive rugby again early next year. Fassi will probably be in the mix as well.
