This ongoing thread that I’m having w/ a dude who thinks women’s golf will attract more male viewers if they dress more provocatively is actually an insult to men’s intelligence
in fact, women’s golf viewership is up 21% this season w/o the players having to sexualize themselves. It’s almost like having more coverage of the sport has exposed people to how amazing these women are at their sport
And it’s an insult to men to think that they only watch women’s sports bc they find the women attractive, vs being able to enjoy the sport simply because these women do something that they can’t do
Anyway, WNBA finals were up 15% this season, while the NBA finals were down 50% this season ... maybe the men should have worn speedos
While we’re at it, MLB has seen a big drop in viewership as well

In fact, across the board women’s sports has seen a spike in viewership/engagement on social media ... while men’s league have gone in the opposite direction

And the fact that I’m defending men in this thread should say something, because usually I don’t give them that much credit ... but I have higher standards for men then apparently this dude does
