Are You Chasing BAD Goals?

Imagine trying to sail north but you're compass is broken.

That's what you're doing to yourself every time you set the wrong goals.

You could be smart & hard-working... but by chasing the wrong goals, you won't get anywhere

1) Goal setting has a huge impact on your success.

Twitter and online business is no exception, of course.

If anything, it becomes even more apparent in this landscape.

Are there any accounts that you remember but have disappeared meanwhile?

2) Quitting is usually a symptom of chasing the wrong goals.

Why so?

Well, working hard but not getting any closer to your dream is one of the most frustrating experiences.

It can really burn you out and leave you feeling empty.

3) So here's my take on the "right" kind of goal setting:

👉 Set goals that are based on your habits

What do I mean by that?

Let's look at two examples, which are perfect for Twitter...

4) Here are two goals that you know all too well:

Goal 1: Get 100 new followers per week

Goal 2: Interact with 30 accounts per day

What's the difference?

Goal 1 is outcome-based
Goal 2 is habit-based

👉 Your goal should be to build the right habits

It's so important.

5) Imagine your goal is to get 100 new followers per week.

You buy a Twitter course, you implement what you learned, you work hard... then at the end of the week, you have only 50 new followers.

You can already feel the thought creeping in... You failed!

That feeling SUCKS

6) Now compare that to the other goal: Interacting with 30 accounts every day.

This is fully under your control.

The week passes, you look back and you notice that you even interacted with MORE than 30 accounts per day!

This feels GREAT! 🔥

You're motivated to continue.

7) Let's do another example:

❌ Goal 1: Finish your ebook in two weeks

✅ Goal 2: Write 300 words per day

If you've ever written an ebook, you know how stressful it is to have a set deadline.

Some days, you just can't bring the right words out and onto paper...

8) But writing 300 words every day? That's something you can accomplish!

Funny thing is, it takes away so much of the stress, so that you end up:

+ Writing more
+ Writing faster
+ Writing better

I've had much better results with habit-based goals, I'm a big believer in it.

9) Burnout is a real issue.

And no, it's not something that only affects vegan soy-boys

👉 Sometimes life throws proverbial sh*t at you.

The only thing that will save you then are your daily habits...

Start building your habits NOW to be well prepared for anything 💪

10) If your goals revolve around building such habits

Then you have a much higher chance at pushing through rough times.

So what are your current goals:

❌ Are they result-based?

✅ Or habit-based?

Review your goals and adjust accordingly... Then take daily action 💪
