When and if the sorry history of this era Is written, the anchors, producers and bookers of Sunday talk shows, the editors and many reporters of mainstream media, will not fare well. Despite my efforts and those of others, they were in total denial of the reality of the GOP. 1

They clung to both sidesism & false equivalence right up through most of the Trump presidency. They shut us out of the discourse. By not holding miscreants accountable, they let them get away with bad behavior & destruction of norms, which helped lead to the current catastrophe.2

I honestly don’t know if that refusal to report reality will return in the Biden presidency. But these habits do not die easily, and the terror of being attacked for a liberal bias is so great in the journalistic establishment that I fear we will be back to the old normal. 3
