Why IAF loves phoren maal!!!

Note how extensively aircraft was being tested to refine it
Like I keep reiterating it, only MoD & DPSUs claim success of any system with nothing on ground corroborating the claim.
Forces get blamed for lies being doled out - till date.
And the ignorant know-it-all brigade which keeps spewing nonsense of forces not backing indigenous process.

Note the monies spent on upgrading equipment which is more dangerous as time & limitation of tech blunts its potency in the battlefield.
An example of "not supporting the indigenous production" - permanent waiver due to failure to meet ASR ...
🙄
Yep, forces don't support indigenous products 🙄

"Permanent Waiver" saga continued
Reminds me of Boyzone "All the time in the world..."
Yes, yes, IAF at fault for the frequent design changes 😖
Damn..... our forces are indeed horrible 🙄
How much can someone be lethargic???
Apparently, a lot. Shameless
Sheer gems 😳
Eh, blame the Air Force.... 🙄
How public gets fooled ... & we, the users, get schooled by these fools 🤣
Amazing ToT🙄

Yep, blame IAF for this ineptitude too 🤣
Waiver for MMR too!!!!!!

Just remove the Radar while at it 🙄
And where is that indigenous lobby? The holier-than-thous who make a damn fool of everyone?? 🤔

Indigenization .... my foot🙄
Note the delay....

And ignorant fanboys expect IAF to accept tech needed to be delivered in 2002, to be accepted & used in 2009 onwards 🙄

Like using an Ericsson A2618 in 2010 🙄🙄
More gems
There are certain other critical issues which handicapped the project. Hence, to attack the IAF daily for "not supporting indigenization" is factually incorrect & frankly stinks of ulterior motives.
Also, why this becomes relevant https://twitter.com/hellfire_81/status/1338071366134722560?s=19
As IAF moves towards arresting & then reversing the free fall in squadron strength while inducting equipment in limited amounts that provide a qualitative edge, expect a lot of push being subtly given to "IAF loves phoren maal" narrative to scuttle a procurement from outside ..
..while adding "indigenization" to the mix to ensure that IAF remains handicapped in terms of qualitative & quantitative platforms it is able to field against enemies that have been fielding better equipment progressively.
LCA still suffers from the biggest obstacle of an engine. Unless that is addressed, the Project will remain a pipe dream as no nation will allow uninterrupted engine supply without having a share of the proverbial pie.

In that context, maybe people should become realistic..
..and realize that technological challenges, bureaucratic indifferences, realpolitik & pragmatism, forces the armed forces to go for procurement outside the nation.
While every politician will rush to claim laurels (eg Surgical Strike), subtle pieces to blame for failure..
in garb of "intelligence failure", "unable to respond quickly" etc will be floated to indirectly blame the forces.
Imagine having to fight a war with equipment, originally meant to be retired in 1995, finally by 2013, in 2020.
There is a reason why Mig-21 was scalped on 27 Feb 19
Who will be blamed for the defeat the nation's forces will suffer if they do not proactively move to address the disbalance? The politician?

Wait, has the Minister of Home Affairs explained yet as to how ITBP, which fought the PLA at Finger 4, could not this time? 🤨
So, next time the self appointed experts and fanboys jump with "indigenous", first know facts, understand & then teach others.

Teach ADA & HAL about indigenization - they apparently are also not aware and lacked a roadmap for ~25 years.
Leaving these here, on "indigenous AEW&Cs"
Note, IAF dropped the requirement of operations from High Altitude in 2006. Embraer was selected in 2007!!

Jai Ho! Mera Bharat Mahan.

PS: Always a MoD-GoI decision on what aircraft is to be bought
