There is a tendency on social media to pile on every time some ignorant editorial is written or a click bait title is released that makes it clear the author intentionally obscures reality
That generally leads to people running their CV and tweeting their memoir to "prove" they are an exception to the ignorance proffered by the opinion writer/commentator/etc. For why?
Sadly, the attempt to denounce the original ignorance ends up having the exact opposite effect
Your worth, value, purpose, and path are just that are, your own. You have nothing to prove. Especially in spaces that were never created with you in mind.
Yes we have earned our doctorates. Yes we have earned the right to demand we are properly and professionally referenced. And yes there are those who enable ignorance by spreading it.
