Here's a quick thread on plays I liked from young guys in last night's game.
We've all seen the full court pass from LaMelo Ball and the behind the back to Miles Bridges in transition. I thought this one was a nice play in the halfcourt. Breaks down the defense to find the pass.

PJ Washington can really play. He's going to be very good. Love seeing him drive the closeout and then finish through the contact at the rim. Teams know he can shoot now, so he has to be able to make plays off the dribble. Good signs here.
Malachi Flynn looked comfortable in his first game. He did a nice job running offense. This is a pretty drive and dish. Raptors might have found themselves yet another good guard.
Isaac Okoro looked good all game. He made a few big jumpers late in the game and the game-winner in a crazy scramble late. I liked this play. He drives on the big, gets the contact and uses the rim to protect his shot for the and-1.
Dylan Windler was known as a shooter coming into the NBA. He missed all of last year, but he'll play for Cleveland this year. Seeing him make a play to score off the dribble here is great. He uses his size to get to a spot and then finishes with the weakhand floater.
I have no idea what Aleksej Pokusevski will be in the NBA. He's so incredibly raw. I do know that a 7'3'' guy hitting pullup triples when the defender goes under the screen is a lot of fun!
Anthony Edwards was hit-and-miss in his debut. I think he'll figure it out eventually. Being able to hit pullup threes off the dribble like this will go a long way towards rounding out his scoring game in the NBA.
Last one!
Mikal Bridges has done a nice job as a cutter in his first two seasons. He's also improved as a spot-up shooter. This is what gets you really excited though. Great patience. He doesn't over drive into Gobert. He keeps Clarkson on his hip with his dribble to get a shot.

I missed one! Theo Maledon was awesome. He made a ton of plays. I really liked this one the most. He does a nice job holding off DeRozan with his backside, while keeping the dribble. When Aldridge stays low, Maledon goes up for the floater. He was patient & in control all game.
