Some things that seem increasingly clear:

• KLD deal NOT complete and he appears to want a majority stake or will go (and so he should)
• FPP will either get money back or get club and it'll be resolved soon
• Current owners may see EFL bailout as way to keep head above water
What needs to be made clear is #SAFC taking EFL cash which comes with restrictions is a short-term move which could cripple club long-term. If, as has been hinted today, they obtained that money and used it to pay off FPP, there should be genuine fear we eventually go bust.
The restrictions would hamstring an ownership who have already proven disastrous despite huge financial advantage:

• No transfer fees in Jan
• Max £20k in 2021/22 if still in L1
• Can only bring in new players on 75% of departing player's wage
• Most contracts up this summer
Clubs can only obtain monies from this pot if they can show they are at genuine risk of going out of business. The EFL should be aware that the current owners running out of cash isn't the same as #SAFC being helpless. But I wouldn't put it past Madrox pushing for it regardless.
Current owners have always maintained confidence that upon promotion they will be able to sell #SAFC for profit. It would be of no surprise if they believed they could get the EFL money and push to go up this year. It would be a huge gamble and put the club's existence at risk.
That's the disaster scenario as I see it. More optimistically it looks like KLD will only come in if the deal is changed such that he obtains full/majority control and rids us of people who have devastated the club. That's good and exactly what fans want.
If he can't do that, the current owners now have a loan to FPP that it appears they can no longer hold onto. They will have to find a way to pay it back. If the EFL monies aren't forthcoming I don't see how they can, and the club would go to a group that were universally wanted.
This is all based on various reports but this does look likely to come to an end soon (thank God).

Possibly being optimistic but unless they get EFL bailout I think current owners are just about out of luck. They've shown their hand and have little bargaining power left 🤞
