Unsurprisingly, this account is run by ordinary Morton supporters to provide humour at the more tinpot aspects of our club.
However, the developments of this week take tinpot to a new level, and humour is no longer the appropriate response (2/9)

There's humour and then there's ridiculous. There's a laugh, and there's the prospect of our club's future being at stake.
@TonClubTogether have done phenomenal work in getting the fans to a place where we can own the club outright. But this must include all club assets (3/9)

Ownership must include our current & historic home, Cappielow Park. Cappielow belongs to Morton. Any owner - historic, current or future - is the custodian of that land. Once their ownership is passed to another person or body, the custodianship of the stadium passes also (4/ 9)
There has never been a situation where Morton has changed ownership but the ground has remained in the possession of the previous owner. Statements that 'Morton will play at Cappielow whilst MCT are in charge' are not sufficient (5/9)
We call on MCT to return to negotiations with Golden Casket to discuss the transfer of ownership of Cappielow and all associated land with the purchase of the club.
Cappielow does not belong to Golden Casket - it belongs to Morton, its support, and the people of Inverclyde (6/9)

We also ask that @ronniecowan @StuMcMillanSNP @CllrSMcCabe @NeilBibby intervene as a matter of urgency to ensure that Cappielow remains in the possession of Greenock Morton, regardless of who owns the club (7/9)
We are happy for this account to be used as a vehicle to put pressure on everyone associated with Morton to ensure that the transition of the club to fan ownership includes Cappielow Park and all land belonging to the club (8/9)
We would urge all supporters to write directly to all elected representatives in Inverclyde demanding that Cappielow remains under the ownership of Greenock Morton. A template letter is attached here: https://online.flippingbook.com/view/892863/ (9/END)
