I'm sorry u had a bad experience with therapy but I don't see how putting other people off of trying to get help for their MH is helping anyone at all
She said that therapy is "individualistic" and based on the idea that you should make yourself happy and thats inaccurate bc therapy teached u coping mechs and one of them is to develop a healthy support system? seems like a lot of bitterness/hurt spilling out from u maam

granted there are a lot of issues with CBT for people who face oppression because its based on the idea that you can't change your reality & you have to deal with it

but at the end of the day therapy, especially CBT, is just learning ways to cope with an unideal world. you're gonna be introduced to ideas that your mental illness does not like bc it has convinced you that there is absolutely nothing in your power to make ur life better
CBT and other therapies can exist alongside activism is my point here
